Diva Takeaway #5

March 10th, 2018

Ahhh, here is is Saturday evening and I am combining yesterday and today into one Diva Takeaway.

I dont know about where you are, but here in the Pacific Northwest, it was a sunny 63 degrees day. Absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday and today, 33 client requests have come in, and 23 have been resolved. I still have a bit of work to do. Many of those requests still open are most likely appointments that have been set up for the future.

Yesterday, I worked on a nice sized job, cleaning up computers and installing Diva Care Managed Antivirus.

Today, I worked on a few issues. A computer with a virus, and a client who received a pop-up screen, stating her computer was infected with multiple virus’s. Yes, this is common and I receive these calls daily.

Your computer is not infected with anything at this point. But my client called the phone number on the screen and allowed the “technician” into her computer. After being told it would cost $800 to fix her computer, she disconnected from the support session and called me.

We have spent about 3 hours correcting the damage caused by the “technician”.

My takeaway from this, is to stress to everyone that I am the only one you should trust to connect to your computer and resolve an issue.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and I will be spending a good part of my day out in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

ComputerDiva will be open again on Monday morning at 8 AM.

Lets stay safe out there!
