So Many Updates!
Yesterday was a day for software updates. Here is the list of updates, and where you can find them:
1. iTunes 11.0.2. Apple released this minor update, that now gives you the ability to sort your music by Composer. Responsiveness of the software has been improved, especially with large playlists. You can download this update in the Mac App Store, or at www.itunes.com.
2. Java for OS X 2013-001. Apple released this update to fix a vulnerability that actually attacked a number of their employee computers. The update notes state that this update delivers improved security, reliability, and compatibility by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_41. You can go to the Mac App Store to download and install the update.
3. IOS 6.1.2. Not to be left out, IOS 6 has a new update as well. IOS 6.1.2 fixes a bug with Microsoft’s Exchange accounts. The update notes have no information about other fixes that may be included.
4. Firefox 19 for Mac. The biggest piece of this update is to include a built-in PDF viewer in the browser. No need for third party plugins to view PDF files in the browser. All of these can now be deleted. The folks at Firefox built this version using HTML5, providing fast and secure PDF viewing.
None of the updates listed take all that long to do, and I have already updated all of my systems. As always, if you need any assistance with the updates, feel free to give us a call.
